Vall Aviation Services, also conducts the servicing and inspections of private piston engine aircraft with MTOM of up to 5700 kg in compliance with the General Aviation rules and regulations including issue Certificate of Release to Service(CRS).
Civil aviation aircraft operations are split into three categories by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO):
- General Aviation (GA)
- Aerial Work (AW)
- Commercial Air Transport (CAT)
General aviation, therefore, covers all private transport and recreational aspects of aviation. Unlike public transport and commercial non-public transport, private transport is the individual or personal use of vehicles which are not available for use by the general public. The user can decide on the time and route of transportations, using various vehicles, including aircraft and pays the entire cost.
GA also includes activities surrounding aircraft homebuilding, flight training, flying clubs, as well as aerial application. GA covers all forms of charitable and humanitarian transportation as well. Private flights are carried out in a wide variety of aircraft – from light and ultra-light aircraft to sport aircraft, business aircraft (like private jets), gliders and helicopters.
GA can be used for activities related to agriculture, construction, photography, surveying, observation and patrol, search and rescue, and aerial advertisement.
The International Council of Aircraft Owner and Pilot Associations (IAOPA) has the following definitions for General Aviation aircraft activities:
- Air Sports: Aerobatics, Air Races, Competitions, Rallies etc.
- Air Tourism: self-flown incoming/outgoing tourism
- Business Aviation (or Travel): self-flown for business purposes
- Corporate Aviation: Company own use flight operations
- Fractional Ownership Operations: aircraft operated by a company on behalf of two or more co-owners
- Personal/Private Travel: travel for personal reasons/personal transport
- Recreational Flying: powered/powerless leisure flying activities
