Vall Aviation Services Brings the Advantages of EASA Part-M Light
The EASA Part-M Light introduces major alleviations to the conditions that have to be satisfied for conducting maintenance of small aircraft. Vall Aviation Services has the airworthiness review staff that can conduct the performance, recommendation, and issue of Airworthiness Review Certificates (ARC Signatories), as well as make sure that the procedures that are followed are applicable to EASA Aircraft, as defined in Part M and Part-M Light.
The Part-M Light opinion has been officially applicable since 24 March 2020. The opinion affects aircraft owners/operators, maintenance organisations, independent certifying staff, CAMOs, as well as the competent authorities overseeing these activities and aircraft. Part M-Light concerns all aircraft that is not classified as complex motor-powered, such as:
- Aeroplanes of 2730 kg maximum take-off mass (MTOM) or less
- Rotorcrafts with a 1200 kg MTOM or less, certified with a maximum of 4 occupants
- Other EL2 aircraft, also including sailplanes and balloons.
PArt-M Light is a group of amendments that try to decrease the effect of the limitations defined by the Basic Regulation. The benefits of the opinion are that it is simple to understand, does not necessitate that the national authorities approve of the maintenance program and that it makes deviation to the manufacturer recommendations possible. It also permits the performance of airworthiness reviews by maintenance organisations, as well as independent certifying staff. The opinion allows the pilot to deter some defects without involving the maintenance personnel.
Our extensively experienced and competent staff will help ease the process of aircraft maintenance management, delivery, and redelivery.
